Part 2 of our Noah blog focuses on the programming challenges we encountered during development. Within this post we’ve broken each of the challenges into various sections focusing on a particular theme.
This week we received a Mixed Reality device from Aryzon after backing the KickStarter campaign that they launched in May this year. We were particularly excited by this project, enabling a Mixed Reality experience with the same ease of accessibility that Google Cardboard provides was a very attractive prospect. With that in mind, and coupled with the flashy, well produced promotional videos we were persuaded to dig into our pockets.
Designing and building a game in four weeks is a brave move but we wanted to try our best and create a playable game by the end of our deadline. Knowing the time constraints we had to decide what we could realistically achieve but we also wanted to challenge ourselves and work outside of our comfort zone.
Apple's new ARKit and Google's ARCore will both do much to accelerate interest in, and uptake of augmented reality.
